The primitive, folk-art shapes of our Suar Wood Stools collection reflect a postmodern naturalist aesthetic. Hewn from a single block of sustainably harvested rain tree, or suar wood, the fallen timbers are air dried for months, then kiln dried and fired to reveal a consistent finish. Each piece celebrates the natural grain patterns and striations inherent in the wood.
