Vintage Brass Hourglass
Crafted of mouth-blown glass and poised in an antiqued brass metal frame, our handsome hourglass honors a legacy of timekeeping that dates to the 14th century. While no longer used to test ships' speed, as Ferdinand Magellan did, hourglasses still time votes in the British House of Commons and, of course, clock boiling eggs. Ours empties in approximately 30 minutes; position it beside a favorite chair and spend a half-hour contemplating the sands of time.
