20th C. Salvaged Wood Kitchen Console
Handsome, solidly built cabinets like this were a fixture in early 20th-century general stores, where their bins held grains and other provisions. Our kitchen island designed by Timothy Oulton replaces the bins with glass-fronted drawers, but retains the salvaged pine's visible knots, cracks and nicks. Distressed as only age and the elements can impart, the rough-hewn planks are carefully hand-selected, planed and lightly sanded yet otherwise left untouched. Each console is a celebration of authenticity and uniquely one of a kind.
