The Wild Horses of Sable Island
Situated off the coast of eastern Canada, Sable Island is home to some 500 wild horses, 500 shipwrecks and 500 years of known history. Also dubbed the "Graveyard of the Atlantic," pirates, transported convicts and shipwrecked sailors have temporarily occupied this never-settled island. Documentation photographer Roberto Dutesco presents his life work in this masterpiece of iconic images, capturing the spirit of a place uninhabited by humans where the wild horses run free.
