Taking its name from the Czech word for glass, Nathan DeHart's Sklo series starts with molded glass vases from midcentury Czech artists. Observed in extreme close-up, these avant-garde forms become the basis for further abstraction, their translucent surfaces morphing into sensual studies of light and shadow, motion and mood.
