Michela Sorrentino: Late Shadow
For General Public
In Late Shadow, light marks and transparent layers of paint and ink are built up slowly before applying more dramatic, bold color and collaged shapes. Gestural marks in graphite, charcoal and pastel add movement, while areas of white canvas offer ethereal space. Michela Sorrentino was inspired by observing late summer shadows among the tall dry grasses in pastures near her home in the Southern Gulf Islands of British Columbia.

The General Public Synograph, a groundbreaking 3-D technology, redefines the limits of printing, recreating every detail of the original artwork with total fidelity. Capturing the nuances of brushwork and technique, these textured prints are an authentic expression of the artist's hand.
