Annie Leibovitz: The Early Years, 1970-1983
Renowned for her photos of cultural icons, Leibovitz became the first woman to have a solo exhibition at Washington, DC's National Portrait Gallery in 1991. Decades earlier, though, the as-yet-unknown photographer got her start shooting rock musicians and counterculture events for the fledgling Rolling Stone magazine. This collection, filled with familiar faces, showcases her best work from that time, painting a trenchant portrait of an era.
